English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The trio have been honoured for their remarkable achievements over the last year.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a unprecedented innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The three contenders were announced live on a popular morning radio program.

This year's winner will be revealed live on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December.

The ceremony will be televised from 7 PM GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Her incredible contributions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the finest emerging star on the continent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for this honour is incredible," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

The Darts Prodigy

Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

He didn't stop there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Being nominated for this award again is a big honour," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an remarkable and historic innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
