The 22-year-old tennis player Emma Raducanu ends the current season and will keep coach into the 2026 season.
The British player made it to the third stage in three out of four Grand Slam events this year.
Britain's Emma Raducanu has pulled out of her remaining competitions in 2025 due to a health issue that has affected her over the past 10 days.
The 22-year-old was due to play in events in Asia but has decided to fly home to rest and recuperate prior to beginning plans for the 2026 season.
These plans will involve trainer Francisco Roig, as they will keep partnering in 2026.
She required blood pressure checks in her opening round with Ann Li in Wuhan and retired when behind 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.
She again required a visit from the doctor at this week's Ningbo Open, where she fell in a three-set match to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in the first round.
She was also playing far from freely in the deciding set versus Zhu owing to back discomfort that has troubled her on several occasions in 2025.
Such performances meant an encouraging season, in which Raducanu rose into the international top 30 for the first time for the first time since 2022, finished with a trio of defeats.
Raducanu had three match points then was defeated by Pegula in the third round in the Beijing tournament last month.
Raducanu won 28 victories in the current season and advanced to the semis in the Washington tournament, but her standout performance was at the Miami event in March.
Ranked first in Britain reached the quarter-finals of this WTA 1000 tournament, defeating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament prior to a loss in a three-set match to fourth-ranked Pegula.
She was coached by Mark Petchey as coach from the Miami event through Wimbledon, with Francisco Roig stepping in for the US Open.
The original arrangement with the former trainer of Nadal was through the season's conclusion but they will keep working together, with a training block pencilled in in the coming months.
The athlete revealed that a three-day test period with Roig after Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.
She nearly succeeded to beating world number one Aryna Sabalenka at their initial event as a team in Cincinnati during August.
Roig joined her in the New York tournament, where she made the third stage prior to losing to 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
