Curtis Jones has revealed that Mohamed Salah apologised to the team after the uproar from his televised remarks.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, please accept my apology.’”

The midfielder also suggested that a player's desire to start is less of an issue. “I get that there are specific approaches you can express yourself,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”
